Tree of Life Mandala (fine art print)

When I first decided to do this #30mandalas project, creating a mandala inspired by the Tree of Life was at the top of my list. I love the concept of the roots stretching into the ground, so closely resembling the way the limbs and branches stretch into the sky. It is so beautiful to me.

Lush greens with textures of leaves and trees of all kinds. A twisted illustrated trunk that gives way to roots below. I was nervous to start this piece because I was worried it wouldn't turn out the way I wanted it to. But once it started to come alive in front of my eyes, I knew had evolved as it should.

#30mandalas (30 Mandalas) is a project I started while emerging from one of the most massive creative ruts I have ever encountered in my life. A friend I met through Instagram (@llaurenb - go check her out!) who creates art almost every single day created a mandala inspired by my style of combining illustration with collage. I could not get it out of my head and kept imaging mandalas with different themes. And suddendly, a new project and challenge was born.
