Stella (gallery-wrapped canvas print)

I love creating mixed media portraits of bohemian girls with long flowing hair filled with flowers and henna details. I wanted to try something a little different with this one, creating a girl with locks of star-filled hair. I am very pleased with the way she came out. Her name is Stella, Latin for star. She is a mixed media illustration created with pencil, graph paper, vintage doily, found paper, acrylic paint, and alcohol ink.

Title - Stella

Once upon a time in 2012, after quitting my desk job to be a full-time artist, I attempted a 40 Works In 40 Days project. Being someone who has a huge amount of trouble finishing what I start, the project was never competed. So I am going to try again :) You can read about the original project here:

You can find paper prints Stella here:

Professionally stretched and mounted on thick gallery-style 1 1/2 inch pine stretcher bars. Sides are left white, so that the image is stretched edge to edge and nothing is cut off. UV coated so that image will not fade or yellow in the sun. Hook and wire hanging system already installed on the back, so this print comes ready to hang!
