Stella (fine art print)


Once upon a time in 2012, after quitting my desk job to be a full-time artist, I attempted a 40 Works In 40 Days project. Being someone who has a huge amount of trouble finishing what I start, the project was never competed. So I am going to try again :) You can read about the original project HERE.

40 Works In 40 Days project - DAY 7

This listing is for a fine art print of my original mixed media illustration from Day 7 of 40 Works In 40 Days. It is titled "Stella."

I love creating mixed media portraits of bohemian girls with long flowing hair filled with flowers and henna details. I wanted to try something a little different with this one, creating a girl with locks of star-filled hair. I am very pleased with the way she came out. Her name is Stella, Latin for star. She is a mixed media illustration created with pencil, graph paper, vintage doily, found paper, acrylic paint, and alcohol ink.

Stella has an earthly counterpart named Terra, whom she would look lovely paired with:

Printed on 100% acid free cotton fine art paper using Epson UltraChrome K3 inks to last a lifetime. Print includes a white border for framing purposes, so nothing is cut off. Initialed and dated on front and titled, signed, and dated on the back with pencil.
