The Presence of Wonder (gallery-wrapped canvas print)


I fell in love with this quote as soon as I saw it. It's hard for me to not go over the top with my work. I love adding "stuff." Cut pieces of paper. Collage elements. Doodles. Sparkles. It's something I was criticized mercilessly for while studying art in college. For this piece, I tried to tone it down a little. Wonder can often be seen in small, mundane things that other people overlook every day. That probably makes no sense, but those were my ideas behind this piece :)

Once upon a time in 2012, after quitting my desk job to be a full-time artist, I attempted a 40 Works In 40 Days project. Being someone who has a huge amount of trouble finishing what I start, the project was never competed. So I am going to try again :) You can read about the original project here:

Title - The Presence of Wonder

This listing is for a canvas print of my original mixed media illustration from Day 28 of 40 Works In 40 Days. It is titled "The Presence of Wonder."

Sides are left white, so that the image is stretched edge to edge and nothing is cut off. UV coated so that image will not fade or yellow in the sun.
