Flora (fine art print)

Once upon a time in 2012, after quitting my desk job to be a full-time artist, I attempted a 40 Works In 40 Days project. Being someone who has a huge amount of trouble finishing what I start, the project was never competed. So I am going to try again :) You can read about the original project HERE.

40 Works In 40 Days project - DAY 9

This listing is for a fine art print of my original mixed media illustration from Day 9 of 40 Works In 40 Days. It is titled "Flora."

My dad does brilliant stained glass work. The sound of his grinder coming from his basement work room will always remind me of childhood. He is an amazing artist, and taught me stained glass at a young age. While I enjoyed it (I loved making butterflies), the process was very difficult for someone with an attention span as short as mine. Years later, I have finally figured out how to work that process into my mixed media illustrations: by creating magical, patterned hair on these lovely girls :)

Flora was created to be a goddess of the flowers-type-person. She is colorful and crazy and everything that my college professors would have wanted to flunk me over. And I love her.

Printed on 100% acid free cotton fine art paper using Epson UltraChrome K3 inks to last a lifetime. Print includes a white border for framing purposes, so nothing is cut off. Initialed and dated on front and titled, signed, and dated on the back with pencil.
